On 18 November 2021, Diligentia College Office and SMBU Office invited Dr. Zhang Liwen from HSS to share with students about her knowledge of western dining etiquette and wine tasting in TA101. Dr. Zhang explained the tableware setting and usage and invited a student as her assistant on stage to demonstrate the proper dining manners.

Then it came to wine tasting. Dr. Zhang first answered students’ questions about wines and offered students tips to appreciate the wine. She also introduced the main varieties of wine, the primary sources of wine flavor, and the order of drinking wine. With this knowledge in mind, students imbibed the wine carefully, trying to access all the flavors.
